General introduction:

Training in Principles of FIDIC in Construction Industry Projects is an essential training for FIDIC. Which has been developed over 60 years, they are used as international standard for consultant contractor and client of projects in construction industry. Overview on the history of FIDIC organization, and the following FIDIC publications, white, red, yellow, orange, new red, silver, and green books, the tender procedures, the joint venture and sub consultancy agreement and subcontracts agreements will be covered along with features of each contract type. Guidelines of preparing the conditions will be covered including roles and authorities of engineers, liabilities and issuing all types of certificates.

 

Course goals and objectives:

Principles of FIDIC in Construction Industry Projects comprises of FIDIC red book is the standard, and the most used by all projects participants in construction industry, construction contract form in all projects where the design is provided by the Employer, following the traditional procurement route of Design and Build. FIDIC are recognized and used globally by all project’s participant regardless to the type of project to organize and manage the responsibilities and relationship of each of project participants. The applications of the new red book of FIDIC (1999) edition with full explanations of the general conditions’ sections in the book will be covered. To familiarize the attendees with the FIDIC contract conditions for projects designed by the client/employers as described in the new book. Principles of guidelines of each type of contract are used to write particular conditions
